Today AMD has set out to once again trailblaze the CPU space. AMD Ryzen 5000 series / Zen 3 has officially been announced. The CPUs while similar in core count and threads to the previous 3000 series have a few tricks up their sleeves
First, IPC has increased by up to 19 percent. Second gaming performance has been an emphasis. And last, they are looking to take the leadership crown away from Intel. It all culminates with the flagship Ryzen 9 5900x with 16 cores / 32 threads at a turbo frequency of 4.9 ghz. This comes in at a eye melting $549.
In addition, AMD’s 8 core 5800X will go for $449 and their 6 core 5600X will be priced at $299.
You can expect the new CPUs to release on November 5th, 2020.
