Rumor: Microsoft Bringing GamePass And Ori and The Blind Forest On The Switch

According to a report from Direct Feed Games, Xbox Gamepass is on it’s way to the Nintendo Switch. Xbox Gamepass is a Netflix style service that allows gamers access to over 100 games. Games get added each month to Gamepass.

It’s pretty obvious that some games won’t be able to run natively on the switch but! every game from the service will be playable via Xcloud. Xcloud was announced by Microsoft late last year that allows players to stream Xbox games via the cloud on phones or tablets. According to Direct-Feed Games, Gamepass titles will be running via Xcloud on the switch.

The outlet also mentioned that Microsoft are planing to publish their own first party titles on Nintendo’s hybrid console. That comes to no surprise since Nintendo and Microsoft have a close relationship. They’ve partnered with Cross play titles like Minecraft and have Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice on its way this spring on the switch. Direct Feed Games mentioned Ori and The Blind Forest and how Microsoft are looking to get this game ported to the Switch. Direct Feed Games have a good track record as he’s been correct in the past with games like LA noire coming to the Switch.

Ori and the Blind Forest is critically acclaimed  Metroidvania game that won many awards. The game is known for its amazing gameplay and beautiful artstyle. A game like Ori would certainly be a great addition to the switch but we can only take this rumor with a grain of salt. We’ll keep you updated as this story develops.
