Bandai Namco and WITCHCRAFT announce their partnership in the form of their next project, Digimon Survive.
Digimon Survive will be released in coincide with the 20th Anniversary of the original TV Show that started it all, Digimon Adventure(1999).
For those who haven’t grown up with the show, Digimon Survive is a nice easy to pick up a revival of the franchise. The game sets around a group of teenage friends led by Takuma Momozuka, the group get lost during a school camping trip which led to them being transported to the mystical world of Digimon, filled with unique beasts and unforeseen danger. The characters are designed by Uichi Ukumo, while music is composed by Tomoki Miyoshi.
As the friends need to fight for their way back home, they must face various dangerous adversaries, in this animated world where the player’s decisions play a pivoting role in the game’s survival story. The player’s decision plays a key role in influencing the evolution of their own Digimons, to the path the story will divert to. The game plays in a traditional 2D tactical RPG style gameplay, using strategic moves to outmanoeuvre your opponents to turn the tide of the battle in you’re favour.
The world of Digimon Survive will open its doors next year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
