With Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the horizon, releasing a GameCube controller for the upcoming title would be the next logical step.
Today! HORI announced that they’re releasing a GameCube controller of 3 different designs to complement Nintendo’s upcoming party brawler. These semi-transparent designs from HORI are themed after Mario, Pikachu, and The Legend of Zelda. The controller also has a non slippery grip to insure that your hand doesn’t slip while you play. A USB connection is also required to use the controller, which you can find on the Dock.

We have no confirmation on a western release at this time, but it’s schedule to release this October in Japan.
