In the latest issue of Famitsu weekly, an interview with Microsoft’s Gaming Head Phil Spencer was featured, the interview provided some great insight on the Xbox brand moving forward.
Spencer mentioned that he traveled to Japan many times over the last few years to visit many publishers. He also mentioned that he’s been working closely with Japanese developers. They let him play their games early, and when they talk to him about their goals, he belives that a stong bond is being built between them. He is aware that this kind of relationship is important to the Xbox brand moving forward.
He mentioned in an interview at the E3 Coliseum that he’ll be attending the Tokyo Game Show, we don’t have any confirmation on whether or not he’s having a press conference, but it’ll definitely show solidarity with the Japanese publishers if he did.
Spencer teased the next generation Xbox during Microsoft’s 2018 E3 press briefing, he’s been in contact with various hardware development companies that also include Japanese developers. He added that he’s been having discussions with the Japanese developers, on the innovations they want to bring to the whole architecture of the gaming industry.
